Long story short, I bought and tried them all. I had a PSA EPT laying around that I bought a year or so ago.Many models come with an impressive EPT or Enhanced Polished Trigger. This type of trigger is a subtle upgrade from the mil-spec triggers that are used on other models. This type of trigger is a little snappy, but it has a nice 7.5-pound pull to it, which gives it a good amount of weight.I have a PSA gen2 upper with the 18" stainless and mid length gas paired with their gen 2 lower with the ept trigger. I added an adgustable gas valve and the limb saver pad to the str stock. Cycles great no problem throws the brass 7-10'.

It's gritty and creepy with a long reset. The PSA trigger has no creep and it's break is very crisp. I looked at the sear surfaces of both, the CMMG has visible tool marks and looks pretty rough, but the PSA is polished and shiny. I did some reading and apparently the gritty, creepy trigger is par for the course with standard AR triggers.
